Reach Truck Forklift Training

Reach Truck TrainingReach trucks are commonly used in warehouses to reduce the width of the working aisles, providing more space in the building to store pallets. Reach truck operators pick up loads with the mast reached forward and then retract the mast to bring the load over the load wheels, giving the truck a small footprint which enables them to work in such a small space.

Reach trucks are battery operated so the care and maintenance of the batteries is critical to the running cost of these trucks.

Double deep reach trucks enable every other aisle to be removed completely giving even more space to store pallets

Categories of reach trucks:

  • D1 Rider Reach / Straddle trucks (up to 8 metres lift)
  • D2 High lift rider Reach / Straddle trucks (over 8 metre lift)

Attachments are commonly fitted to enhance the varity of tasks that these expensive vehicles can perform. Popular attachments are side shift, fork positioners, paper handling clamps and also non hydraulic attachments such as Jibs, drum handlers, fork-mounted work platform, etc.
