Safe Handling takes your privacy seriously and will only ever use personal information to fulfil our contract / legitimate interest as training providers.

The processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract/prior to entering into a contract, with an individual.

The processing of personal data for the purpose of business operations (individuals, staff and organisations).

How we use personal information.

Information collected will be used as follows:

To provide quote, upon request.
Secure, confirm & provide training.
To manage customers account for current and future training requirements.
Sharing of personal information
Personal information is not shared with other companies unless it is necessary in order to fulfil the service you have requested/we provide, audits, accounting or required in order to fulfil our legal obligations.

We will never sell any personal information to a third party.

Storage of customer, supplier and staff information.

Customer records/accounts
Customer records (booking correspondence, training records, invoices/credit notes, remittance slips, etc.). Customer records are kept indefinitely to enable historical queries regarding training for individuals, company training and account queries. All information is used to manage / keep up-to-date customer accounts.

Personal information provided on records of training will be referred to for identification purposes upon request of duplicate/copy of training records/certificates, verification of training (name, date of birth, national insurance number and home address will be requested).

Suppliers
Supplier records (invoices, statements, contact details) are kept for the purpose of purchase history, for future supply demands and managing supplier accounts.

Security of personal information stored
All information is stored securely. All computers/devices that store personal information/communication are encrypted/password protected. Hardcopy paperwork is stored securely on site with restricted access.

On file means any information stored electronically (e.g. word documents, excel spreadsheets, access documents, Sage accounts/payroll, data card) or in hardcopy by Safe Handling..

Internet security
Safe Handling uses AVG Internet Security to help maintain the security of our website and email service.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.

Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.

This privacy notice does not cover the links within our website linking to other company websites. This privacy policy applies only to our site. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit.

We do not pass on any personal information you have given us to any other site.

CCTV / Alarm System
All customer/supplier/staff records are kept on a secure site with active CCTV and Alarm System. CCTV and Alarm System are for the purpose of crime prevention (necessary notices are on the premises).

Access to CCTV footage is password restricted and access to footage is permitted via management/senior staff only.

Disposal of personal information
Once files are no longer required, hardcopy files are disposed of using a cross shredder and electronic files are permanently deleted from the system (including back up copy).

Our website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics stores cookies on our users computer to keep track of usage data/collect data.
